Very nice indeed, I wonder where that one had been hiding all these years?

Mark..
It hasn't really been hiding anywhere, it was Mary Faircloughs, Alans wife and he bought it her as a wedding present when new and up to 2006 was Mary's daily driver. Over the years it has attended many GNW's & AGM's although for further distances they tend to use their Evo Blue Lagos.
It has as with all Alans cars been fastidiously looked after and does represent an absolute steal. Carlos has a great buy there.

Thanks must have missed it (somehow!)

I wonder if there are any others tucked away in a garage somewhere? Near where I live in Sussex are, amongst others, 3 Porsche 924's which have been unused for sometime and a Marcos 3litre again just stored and seemily left...

This was our old one, sadly long gone. Would have another one in a minute, great little car.

Excellent result! I know one other 1300 that is around and of 2 other 1300 LX like mine - but they are so few and far between. Unfortunately worth a lot in bits - because of the number of integrale parts and also expensive to get certain bits that are shared with integrales. But, a charming little car and very use able. If you want to pass on my details then happy to be in touch  ...

Is that counting mine Steve?  Does Melbourne still count as 'around'?

The Recaros in 'Sam' were the same material but had the extending thigh supports,it was amazing the extra support they gave and were brilliant.

What about the 1600 GTie that fits midway between the 1300/LX & HF turbo, this was/is conidered by many as the sweetest of the lot with similar economy to the 1300's and decent go to boot. It would be nice to know how many's left as it's ages since I last saw one.

Here is a photo of my '89 GTie taken in mid '94 and a second one a year later when modified to resemble an HF turbo (skirts/wheels/steering wheel) with my facelifted '91 HF turbo (understood to be the last RHD version registered in the UK on 31/05/91- is this true?) and friends '89 HF turbo in the background.

Very nice Paul,
I think the GTE was a nice compromise midway between the 1300 & the HF Turbo, I don't recollect seeing that many around at anytime since I joined the LMC in 1993, neither can I remember the last time, they always looked good in Black though.

Lovely looking cars - I nearly bought one of these (1600 GT on a D plate) - a very last of the series one cars in black; it had a twin headlight conversion and some other electrical upgrades as one of the previous owners was an electrician. The guy selling it, who was in Guildford, put me off which was a real shame - wonder if its still around as it was still in good condition back then (6 years ago ish).

I had the injection engine though in a lovely Prisma, again I wonder what ever happened to this - it had a great paint job - metallic silver and was on an old E plate. Regret not taking photos of it, I sold it quickly as a Thema ie with 29k miles came up for sale!!

Thanks Steve, hope no-one takes this the wrong way, and although this is a nice GTie it is a late LHD import (one of the phase out '92-'93 Guigaro Deltas where the LX's & GTie's gained integrale 8v bonnets, side skirts, Dedra wheels & Evo wipers amongst other things and the HF turbo also received the 16v integrale bonnet & lights in mainland Europe only) & not a RHD UK version, these are the cars (along with the carb GT) that seem to have long disappeared.
