What's going on with that speedo surround?

Love the 10K tach.

No but.....I can't reconcile the chassis number with the registration date. Lancia produced 430 Fanalones in 1969 and the balance (431-2258) in 1970. This car is right from the very end of the production line so is mid - late '70 not November 1969. Being a late fanalone it would have had an S2 type gearbox fitted anyway (fitted from ch.2002). It has opening quarter lights which are not original and an electric fan, but other than that it looks right.

Not sure with the speedo - trick of the light ??
