Fulvia crankshaft grinding specialist needed
« on: 10 April, 2013, 04:58:18 PM »
Hello,

Does anybody know who can grind these cranks correctly. The people I used in the past have retired/closed down.

Cheers,

Harry.
I have worked on the Lancia Fulvia from 1975 - what a machine!!

Yes, I am the 'Harry' who built the quick Fulvia's in the late 80's and early 90's!!!!!!!

Hillthorne Engineering in Hanwell west London used to be highly recommended, but they went out of business a few years ago. I have heard good news Serdis at Uxbridge who I think took over some of the Hillthorne team - http://www.serdi.co.uk

I have had excellent results from Serdi who have rebuilt both Lambda and Aprilia engines for me.  They have the correct jigs to rebore these as well, don't know for sure about Fulvias.  They did a nice job converting the Lambda to thinwall big end shells and also the Aprilia though that involved new rods as well.  Not relevant to you but a sign of their engineering excellence.

JEL Bearings in York provided me with excellent service for the Dilambda and at what I considered to be a very reasonable cost.
