A late Astura by Boneschi sold at Bonhams in Paris last week for 667,000 euros including premium! It looked a lovely original car...

It is the car that came on the Sliding Pillar Rally a couple of times.

A truly stylish beast, worthy of the Astura chassis and the Lancia name. I am not surprised it realised that price.

Seriously overbodied if you ask me !!
You could buy a pretty decent house, probably with a barn or two,for that sort of money. I know which I would prefer.
Makes my Y10 look like good value!!!--------Cars are for driving.

That's over half a million quid.  You would not dare take it out!  Looks beautiful but, like a Ferrari, you would only mount it on the wall and look at it.  Shame really!

For those with less 'flashy' taste and with smaller wallets, how about this Astura for a bargain £50k?

For all I just bought the Flavia Sport not Berlina I rather prefer the grand old carriage.

As to "why" maybe with cars like this I'm projecting onto them the adventures they might provide and thinking back over the places they've been.  That "Boneschi" looks like a car to go anywhere and everywhere, at any time of the year, in all weathers.  It looks a loyal and faithful servant, a home from home.  Sat in the back of that would it ever be anything but "Pimms O'Clock"?
