That one started at $85000 (I have a screen grab of the ad when they first put it up).

Here it is on the seller's website (the previous link is an ad they have placed on an external site):

http://www.autocollections.com/index.cfm?id=959&action=details&tab=inventory&cartable=&sortorder=car,year&sr=40

As you can see from their text at the bottom, it has the wrong gearbox (4-speed). It is the same one that sold at Pebble Beach in 2003 for $33500.

You haven't seen mine for sale before though, because this is the first time I have advertised it.

Cheers

Alan

Yes, been looking at that one as well. Looks better than the American one, but it's got really weird mirrors (the correct ones fit on the the doors just below the window with a very fine panhead screw into a captive nut). It's also got the door trims screwed on with cups and screws, so they are either non-original or the originals have been ruined!

Alan would you paint it if someone buys it for an extra cost.

Well I certainly won't do it free of charge!!

(;-)))))

Seriously, yes, no problem with giving you or anyone else an estimate for however much of the rest of the work they want doing (it makes sense really, as we have done all the work so far, and we know our way round Appia vans, having done the work on this one, and also the other one - I reckon that having worked on two of them makes us the world's No. 1 Appia van experts!).

Cheers

I suppose so... although believe it or not I would rather have the van than the money! It is in the most AMAZING condition. However, I know I will never have time to finish it (I have had it for ten years already!).

But you are right about the interest it is getting - it has nearly 300 watchers!!!

Cheers

Excellent, hoping it stays in the UK , given its rarity, maybe see the Appia vans in convoy some day at a UK event!!!

They've already met when we were welding up the Consortium one (http://westernlancia.co.uk/lanciaappiavan.html), but as you say it would be nice to see them together again and both finished (although we or someone else still needs to weld up the other side of the Consortium one!). But when they are both finished there will be one of each colour!

Cheers
