I happened upon this car just around the corner from me, the owner came out whilst I was looking at it.

I have no interest in the car and know nothing of it or the owner. What he told though was, that if it couldn't be sold it would go to a local breaker. That seems a waste to me.

I will try to copy the text as e mailed to me and post the photos separately.

Hi,

Here are the details of 'Sally" my wife"s beloved, battered and bruised, Lancia.

Many thanks if you can put it on the forum, I'll also try and send a couple of photos.

1995 Dedra estate - Left-hand drive - one previous lady owner.

2.0l 16v twin cam - same engine as a Delta, minus the turbo.

Alcantara trim, electric windows, climate control.

Rare in the UK, drives, but needs love and attention.

Best offer over £250, and she"s all yours.

For more info on the bad bits: 07710012224 or petergilbert!@gmail.com

Thanks,

Peter

I hope this is of interest to someone,

                                      Andy

I've just spoken to peter Gilbert and asked for more details.
It will need to be registered in Uk ex Italy. is Certificate of conformity needed being it's over 10 years old?
Been off road 18 months,
Starts & Runs but down pipe needs replacing.
Possibly needs front suspension bushes or wishbones.
Needs new headlamp nearside broken, and both are lhd anyway, so will need both RHD headlamps, not exactly hens teeth but getting that way to find them
Speedo is in KMs.
Drivers seat alcantara a bit worn.
Headlamp washers missing.
Note the email address is wrong it should read petergilbert1@gmail.com

I've asked Peter for more photos so when he sends them I'll post on here.
to be honest I've always wanted a Dedra SW, I have no problems with LHD and I love this colour, this price will depend on how much interest he gets.

Why doesn`t someone have this car and convert to RHD using parts from a UK Dedra...?  By the way i have 2 Dedra Turbos that have all the required parts...just too much corrosion on them to warrant carrying on...usual places etc... Embarrassed
Has this been done before perhaps..Huh?

Unless you do the work yourself it's not really cost effective and having been involved with Dedras since 1992 I think it won't be an easy conversion.
I had received some more photos that I intended posting on here but I must have  deleted the email in error as I can't find them.
It needs belts and no doubt a service, it has blowing down pipe as well as a number of bump & scrapes, the interior is in Alcantara and looks to be in good condition, to buy and put it on the road and registered for the UK, I reckon will cost about £1000 depending on buying it somewhere close to the £350 it's at at present,I've decided that I don't want to get involved in the work for various reasons including my health, and I know where there's another that's already registered in the UK, and possibly available for something close to what this will cost, and it is in better condition, although the mileage is higher.

Go and wash your mouth out with carbolic soap you naughty boy using such language to describe such a lovely Lancia Shocked
Looks very interesting, but it's the thirsty version with the 3.0V6, magnificent engine though it maybe, surprised at the alcantara interior, most that I've seen have been leather, if it's as good as it looks it would make a nice buy.
