Hi,

I wonder if there is a simple solution to plug in your satnav (or similar) into an old car - the cigarette lighters are a different size to the current standard.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi ya

I had the problem on my car the way i got around it was to buy a extension from a local carshop, its has a straight but longer plug that goes into the car's cigar lighter socket with a stretchey lead with a socket the other end to plug your phone/sat nav the other end.

Thanks, that is helpful.

Andy, satnav is a kind of small map powered by electricity.

Now for the next thread "how to fix my cigarette lighter" (just joking)

I used a tap washer with a nut and bolt through it to act as a temporary extension. Its still going well 6 years down the line. I notice that some USB chargers are now so small they would slide down to the bottom of an old cigar lighter...

Have to make do with a good old fashioned tulip road book this Sunday. BTW we have deleted four fords that were on the route as they were impassable.
