Looks nice, at a sensible price.

So that it is not lost, here the description:

Lancia Augusta 1935

The Augusta was Vincenzo Lancia's first \"small\" car. Introduced in 1932 it had advanced features like a V4 engine of 1200cc with overhead camshaft, independent front suspension of the famous \"sliding pillar\" design and a unitary body.
The unitary body was of course invented by Lancia in 1921 with the introduction of the Lambda and taken a step further with the Augusta, making it an extreme robust, stiff and light automobile.

This example was sold new to Jonkheer (Squire) Prisse in Brussels who kept the car a remarkable 25 years, taking the car with him to The Netherlands when he became director of the Amsterdam electricity and gasworks. He distinctly prefered driving the Augusta above the company Lincoln V12 he was supposed to be using.
Second owner was the painter Joost van Roojen and a further owner was Pim Hascher, well known collector of exotics, especialy Bugatti's.

The old photograph in this advertisement is of this very car, taken in the 1930's with the first owner behind the wheel. More pictures do exist

In the early 1970's the car was restored and used extensively, participating in the 1973 international meeting in Turin, but after that the Augusta dissapeared, to be bought by the present owner in 1999.

It has patinated very gently over the last 40 years and a lot of mechanical work has been done since 1999 including recent extensive work on the engine, a gearbox overhaul and a rearaxle overhaul including a new pinion and crown wheel.
An original aftermarket Weber carburator is fitted and it is in a very good mechanical condition and ready to be used.
