Hi guys,

had a message today, maybe someone's interested?

Dear Lancia Members Club

I have am working for The Windsor Jubilee Tour of Elegance, which culminates at Windsor Castle. I have been tasked in sourcing a list of requested cars to take part, and hoped that you might be able to assist me, or point me in the right direction.

We are after the following:
1958 Flaminia
1961 Flavia
1972 Stratos
1979 Delta

Many thanks

Rebecca

Crikey, I remember requests like this.  A 1979 Delta? Not made until 1980, not imported until 1981, I think, and the youngest in the country is probably an 82 or 83.  Who'd be Press Officer....?

I`d be happy to help if a 1963 Flavia Coupe is any help.

There's a choice of two Deltas of that era - assuming that they mean launch spec models ....

Mr Owen - really!!!  Living down-under has obviously sent too much blood to your brain and addled your memory!

Delta launched 79 in Europe - yes, and available there too in 79. Launched July 80 in the UK (hence the first press cars being on "V"plates)

Ealiest one we have is on the records is mine I think, which is Feb 81 build (March 82 registered) but sadly it is having a year off this year, as the Gamma and Betas have taken priority. The other one belonging to a member in buckinghamshire is very similar age and so virtually the same spec

I'm not sure it is on the road either this year either - but I'll make enquiries.

I offered up my 69 Fanalone but I think they only need cars for the years referred to above.  I have been offered preferred parking on the mile up to the castle instead which sounds good to me!
