You will have just missed a play on BBC Radio 4, the “Friday Drama”. It was the real life story of John Amery ex Public School playboy son of Churchill's Secretary of State for India, and brother of Julian Amery, who was later to become a prominent Conservative MP. John was a passionate fascist and he broadcast pro-Nazi propaganda during World War 2. In 1945 he stood trial for treason and was hanged. In his death cell he was said to be particularly distressed about what would happen to his Lancia Aprilia!

Any Aprilia owner out there with a registration book showing John Amery as an early owner?

I have an Aprilia that suffered death from tree(s)on!
The log-book only goes back to 1948 so who knows?

Ben, what a beautiful play on words !!!!!!!!!!!!

Seeing the car like that makes me wonder if a little project for you would be to produce the first ever Aprilia with dickie seats !!!

Hope all is well, the Appia has not been out for a few weeks due to holidays and I'm off to N Wales in 10 days (Chugga, I'll try to find the seats) so she won't be in use until after that but then I'm looking forward to trying to get some real use out of her.
