I wish we could find cars like this in the UK - asking about £3k but sadly it's in Arizona, which could account for the lack of corrosion.  Air-con doesn't look like the one factory fitted unit I've seen and was probably added to the car in the USA.

Someone who's going to do this car justice should buy it, or it might end up like its sister currently being lovingly hacked into a 'custom' (modified body and planned Alfa 'Milano' - 75 to us - drivetrain, V6, transaxle, suspension...)

The argument supporting the 'resto-mod' course of action:
1. It's my car, I can do what I want with it.
2. It was so far gone it was this or the scrapper.
Those are the main two pieces of logic, I think.

The shame is that the finished article probably wont, in my view at least, be as interesting or nice a thing as it would have been done to original specification.

The Arizona car on ebay is one of only 31 cars produced to American specification, and has the Saxomat automatic transmission. (Similar to that used on the NSU RO80)

Interesting very original project - would look great in one of those two tone Florida colour schemes,  black roof over turquoise body...

It may be 99% rust free but not 99% cowhide rot free...

Yes, I expect the window/screen rubbers have all been damaged by the sun too.  Still easier to replace than the metalwork though.

Seller can ship car to port at LA for £250.

I can tell you're a very dangerous man, William.

Reminds me of a very nice quote somebody told me the other day - "you can never pay too much for an old car, you can only buy it too soon"

Seriously though, I am tempted, I have been having "Florida fantasies" for some while now Smiley

William,
Wish you hadn't posted the link to the custom one, I've just wasted a lot of time reading through the juvenile drivel where they seem to think they will do a better job than Pininfarina and Lancia and how wonderful  she will look by the time they have chopped her about, I know it's their money so they can do what they like, but I'd have been happier to have seen her rot away gracefully than let this lot loose on her.
As a Lancia Berlina fan I could cry. Cry

Or perhaps Sir would prefer an unrusted GT 3C while he's in the US dry states?

We could have one Flavia coupe each, original dust included.

Few things are as maddening as what those fools are doing to that poor berlina.
