Capacity: 4 cil / 903 cc
Homologations: ASI gold plate / FIVA identity card
Mechanicals: perfect
Body work: steel
History: Unique car, custom built in 1949 for racing purposes by the pilot DeLuca, named “Lupo delle Calabrie” (this why the wolf mascot on the car). Entered several race as “circuito di Posillipo” and “grio delle Calabrie”.
Based on a prewar Fiat 509 chassis , it’s equipped with an original front spring leaf suspension and fitted with Lancia Ardea engine and gearbox

Well spotted Brian !!

What a beautiful little thing, and appears to be unrestored to a large extent.

It is a pity there is not at least some Lancia elements in the body/frame, particularly a sliding pillar front axle.

That's made MY day.  Shows how a "special" can still look good on a long wheelbase and steel wheels.  Just had to check about when the five speed boxes came in, wiki says the third series.

Anyone else think that mascot on the back is doing a wee into the tank?

For me the Fiat chassis (if it is) is no issue, but I don't think that's 509 front suspension...
