Lakeland Trial Saturday 8th November

A couple of years ago, a number of sliding pillars attended the trial and at Fobello last week it was mooted that they (Gussies in particular) should do so again.  I shall be attending in Boot or the Aprilia and would suggest that members might like to base themselves in Hesket Newmarket,  http://www.visitcumbria.com/car/hesket-newmarket.htm  just to the north of Carrock Fell, very convenient to the trial, possessed of accommodation   http://www.dentonhouseguesthouse.co.uk/  and, most important, the Old Crown   http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/84/8433/Old_Crown/Hesket_Newmarket  , a proper pub whose brewery    http://www.hesketbrewery.co.uk/   is in the back garden and could do us a meal on Saturday night.  The beer is superb!

Regretfully this is the same weekend as the National Classic Car Show at the NEC to which I am already committed.

I think I'd better give it a miss this year as I'll only just be back from Australia and had better start earning a bit of money to pay for the trip!
