My understanding and on my setup, there isn’t a great deal of space between the top of the trumpet and air box, and therefore i have seen aftermarket ‘subbie’ trumpets to get over this problem.
. It should be noted that Lancia paid great attention to air box design. I have been told the pancake filter on Aurelias (so relevant to Flaminia) was a Helmholtz resonator tuned to 3 frequencies. Apparently you notice the (negative) difference when driving without that filter.

Very interesting, never knew that, I am far more of the old school of thought, with high flows and creating positive pressure around intakes.

So some aftermarket foam type filter systems not so good in some ways, and lack the fire hazard protection of the steel box. Thinking back to a local Flaminia engine fire, this could be a useful fire extinguisher nozzle positioning

I have found a 0 to 100v dc voltmeter to fit adjacent to the voltage regulator.

As I have been lent a dwell meter, I have put this to use. A good thing as the points gap was larger than my workshop manual specifies. Reset to 0.4mm. Thanks to Derek. I will obtain a dwell meter of my own. Also I have made a timing scale to use with my timing strobe.

Carpets have been collected with thanks, at the excellent LMC Greenham Common event from Martin. Now fitted, and one rear footwell mat still required.

Until the standard door catches are reliable, these secondary 'Brighton' mechanisms will provide a 'belt and braces' solution, replacing the previous elastic straps. No, the car does not have sash- cord windows.
