Is that a Sport version? The banjo interconnecting fuel hoses look a snug fit, rather like my hoses. Does anyone know why only one of the carburettors have a cold start mechanism?

It's a bit odd only one of the three carbs have chocke. I guess that it is mainly because it would be complicated to run the cable to all three.
On the other hand you should probably only use the chocke to get the engine started and not for running.
I have never used the chocke on my car (only used the cable connectected to the throttle for hand throttle when the pedal broke...)

The original Supersport also had only the choke on the middle carb. It worked just fine starting in cold (with snow, etc.). Not sure what the thinking was, past the obvious ("too much choke if all three carbs"), but it was no problem.

Thanks GG amd Kaha.
Something I need to fabricate or purchase if anyone has a spare is a throttle cable bracket. (RHD)
A photo or drawing to indicate dimensions and mounting points would be useful. Also I will incorporate a hand throttle using the (bottom rhs in the photo)spindle lever.

Dry fitted the Webers and manifold. As expected the distributor cap height fouls the rear of the airbox by 12mm. I have a shorter distributor drive casting but not a matching drive shaft. So I can modify a spare long shaft or modify the rear of the air box.
Also even the distributor retaining / adjuster clip is different for ease of access.

Concerning myself unnecessarily with coolant potentially  getting into the inlet ports via a poor seal, I see the port faces are separated by the shape of the casting.

This previously surplus air filter box now has previously surplus, and now adapted air filtration. Adaption of the box itself also, to accomodate the existing distributor height.
I have used bowden cable fittings obtained from a cycle repairer and also the local 'Harris Performance Engineering' workshop.

That's gonna sound awesome Richard, nothing so nice as a set of carbs gulping in the air.
I take it there is still space for the trumpets in that air filter set up? They make a hige difference to how it will run, and develop power. Longer for more torque, shorter for more power. But none means the air doesn't flow in properly and they can't function efficiently.
Great work, love following these tasks  Cool

Thanks Kev, the induction trumpets supplied with these Webers are 50mm tall/ 38mm dia measured at the base. So should fit. Not sure what the optimum air gap between the trumpet mouths and the filter 'lid' steel pressing is, but I remember a Fulvia airbox with missing baffle was very unhappy at partial throttle openings.
I would also like to know more about the triple throat Solex 3b type pictured in my Solex tuning book and elsewhere. Sometimes reviews are unfavourable , perhaps unfairly.
Of course, although these are fixed jet carburettors, albeit with volume control adjustments x6, I have already received comments about 'in tune' and 'out of tune' and associated difficulties from the same experts who have in their repertoire of remedies,  'tow starting followed by the high speed thrash'.
Soldered brass floats within, so will continue with low/nil ethonol Esso petrol from Maidstone area. There was a comment posted earlier within this forum thread which mentioned camshaft /carburettors mismatch, but no further information posted since. Would obviously be useful to know more about this unsuitability from anyone who knows more.

My understanding and on my setup, there isn’t a great deal of space between the top of the trumpet and air box, and therefore i have seen aftermarket ‘subbie’ trumpets to get over this problem.
