Originally the Lancia D50 with the notable pontoon fuel tanks, Ferrari took over the project when the Lancia family ran into financial difficulties. The car appeared in 1956 with the faired-in fuel tanks. This example is of the 1956 Monaco Grand Prix car that finished 4th position in the hands of Juan Manual Fangio after a particularly hard race. Presented on an aluminium edged plinth and enclosed within a Ferrari etched Plexiglass display case, 60cm x 27cm x 20cm high.
