Has anyone got any advice on unleaded petrol. I'm getting mixed advice - do I need it or not? any ideas would be much appreciated....

I've run my Beta for four years (12k miles) on unleaded with no problems. It does run a bit better on super but some stations really overcharge for this. I also add the odd glug of Redex.
