Hi all
A couple of questions regarding the above items.
What should my 1300 be reading on the Oil Pressure gauge when the car is idling?

Also, what viscosity of oil are you running in your cars?

Some, I guess.  More important is pressure hot at 2000+rpm which on mine after rebuild was 50psi or more.  That was on Comma 10/49 semi synthetic.

It might show very little on the gauge but it's ok as long as it picks up as soon as the engine speed is raised.

I use a VW oil branded as there own "quantum" which is a 15w-40w.

I have owned my 1600 for 11 years & have always used Selena HPX Synthetic as recomended by Fiat for older engines.  It was originally listed as 20-60 but is now rated as 20-50, seems to suit the engine well & oil consumption is minimal.  Oil pressure on gauge drops quite low at tickover but promtly rises as soon as engine speed is increased.
