Aha, managed to get my cameraphone out (while stationary of course) to catch the red 2WD Delta (H186 YYJ) that lives in and around Shrewsbury - looks like a daily driver. It's not Tom's red LHD GTie.

Took the Alvis to the next door village Fete today - usually a couple of local Lancisti there and this year was no different. Although Paul Atkinson was on holiday, Ivan Rhodes bought his RR 20/25 and Brian Hands his Agusta. Lovely car.

Seen in Dean Street, Soho last Friday evening – see photo. A lovely Lambda tourer apparently being driven by someone in fancy-dress pretending to be the Lord Mayor! Looked to me he was trying to gate-crash a stylish reception for some Italian big-wigs. The car certainly helped his credibility. Rumour has it that the event was rather good too.

Shot from the "chase car" on the way to Goodwood. Modest little garage she is in until next weekend - the C-type is the ex-Rolt/Hamilton car that won Le Mans in '53, thats the back of an XJ 220 and the front of an XK13 Proteuos Replica, the ex Hawthorn '55 D-type will be joining them during the week as well as an ex-works lightweight E-Type. As I said ....a modest little collection  Grin

Seen at Brands Hatch today - the most amazing race between two Fulvias: Ken Rorrison in his S2 1600 Coupe racing against Alex Childs in his Fulvia Sport 1600. This was a twenty minute race and between the two of them, the lead changed every lap, until Ken’s car started to run on three and had to retire. The following snaps at Paddock Hill Bend don’t do justice to it, but they might give an impression of how it was. Wonderful!

A Beta Coupe looking good in light blue, but sadly on a trailer rather than being driven. Seen early yesterday afternoon on the A303 – heading east somewhere north of Salisbury. Possibly en route home after a photo-shoot in Wales?

I think this was being returned to its owner after some body repairs in the SW to Surrey, if it is the one no mechanical gremlins just being delivered only, the owner is very happy I understand.

Seen this afternoon on Kop Hill Climb, this Lambda (see photo below) being driven up the hill by Howard Morgan - looking and sounding great. Chris Hopkins was also on the hill in his Fulvia Coupe and was one of the few cars to produce wheel-spin on take–off.

Other Lancias there included Brian Hilton’s ‘fay’, Peter Loftus’ Fulvia Sport and my Sport. And it was a pleasure again to meet friend-on-the-forum Roger Elias, but I didn’t see what car he came in.

Colin, Sounds like a great day out. Lin and I are in Geneva attending the Classic Aviation and Cars exhibition otherwise we would have been there.

Roger,

I was trying to be discrete about your extravagant choice of cars. I didn’t see the F40, I thought this one was yours:

Interesting Aprilia at Kop Hill Climb  on Sunday

Does anybody know anything about this car as it has been to some club events
in the past. It has all Aprilia running gear with some kind of space frame chassis.

Did we all get cameraphones for our birthdays? It's great to actually see the spotted cars in the wild.

Anyway, much to my surprise I was driving through Wellington in Shropshire last week when I was amazed to see a green (Verde York) integrale Evo, reg K5 CWS go in the opposite direction along Whitchurch Road. I didn't wave or flash as I was in the smart.

I now deliver to a customer in Shifnal. Over the road is a very weathered red F-reg Delta Turbo, intact but with various additional body panels and trim stuffed in the interior. Will try and get a pic next time I'm there.
