Flavia Coupe spotted in Shifnal, Shrophire this morning at 11.15.  Reg PZT 555.  Not what I expected to see on the way back from my accountants.  I didn't flash as I was in the van and this sort of behaviour normally illicits a negative reaction.

Red Thesis on San Marino plates driving along the normally traffic-free Victoria Avenue in the Quarry in Shrewsbury yesterday morning.  I'm assuming the gent driving it was working an exhibitor at the Shrewsbury Flower Show, as was I.

On holiday in Malta at the moment, seen one ypsilon but more interesting, a photo of an alfa engine'd fulvia used in hill climbs in the late seventies.According to the museum curator it was fitted with a 1600 driving through the orginal 'box.As the engine was longer than the V4 the nose has an extension on it not unlike a Flavia Vignale. The owner was a Mr Tony Bugeja, if anyone knows more.

I have heard of the Alfa engined Fulvia myself, I take it you have seen the pictures at the motor museum on tourist street in Buggiba. There are several lancias in everyday use on the island. In the sleima and St Julians area I know of an immaculate gold Prisma, two Dedras and at least one early Fulvia which are in daily use. There are more than a few Ypsilon Kappas and Y10s that I spotted in the six years that I lived there. The Maltese hold Lancia in quite high regard as a brand. If you can, visit the old airfield at Hal Far. Every sunday there is a gathering of interesting cars here, and they also race on the dragstrip most of the morning. Lots of old sixties Italian stuff to be seen, You may even spot my old Alfa 164 30v6 in metallic green, the reg is MGH 164! Let me know if you do!

You reply on the day I leave !! You are correct in where is saw the photo, and I did see an Alfa 164 (silver) but I didn't catch the registration plate, and a very nice early GTV. There seem to be quite alot of older cars in good condition motoring around, but it will have to wait another year or so before I get to the airfield. A great place to go for a holiday if anyone is thinking, plenty of history to get into and the sea is great for snorkling  Smiley

Gunmetal grey Volumex Coupe seen driving through Tiddleywink (B4039) on bank holiday Monday morning about 10.30am....presumably on its way to Castle Combe, as it wasn't visiting me!
