I attended the centenary event, but this car has a 2003 sticker. I must have missed this one.

Well spotted Richard! That screen sticker refers to the Flavia and 2000 Consortium’s event in the Covent Garden Piazza in 2003 – an event that took place there because of 2000HF owner David Bieda’s influence with Covent Garden. It was the success of this event that gave David and his team of helpers the confidence to go ahead with the larger centenary event in 2007. How time flies!

750 mile road trip to Liverpool and Birmingham open days - this morning we spotted a deep red Evo heading south on the A41, perhaps a bit south of Chester but can't quite remember.   Early afternoon a white 1600 Beta Coupe we chased down the M6 tollroad, or "Midland Expressway" as I prefer to know it.

The Beta could have been Tony Harrison? He was attending an event (Retro Rides?) last weekend.

Woke up over the weekend in one of those 'Who am I? Where am I? Why is the tv on? Why is it 2 o'clock in the morning?' moments and there on the screen was a lovely dark Flaminia Berline driving into a fuel station. The film was called 'Psyche 59' and it's on Talking Picures again tonight (30/7). The scene was in the UK, it was RHD and UK registered. I think the reg plate was visible a couple of times so be interested to know if it's still around. That's all I saw before I staggered off to bed but it's on earlier tonight so will try to catch it again.

In the UK people have been blaming such moments on the heat.

That film is 1964:

I've never worked out how these numbers work? My freeview Talking Pictures  is on 328. I know I'm in France but I'm picking up the same signals etc as everybody else. Very mysterious....

Well, it was the principal male character's car registered 180 FXB which isn't a registration that is known to me. It was a right hand drive series 2 and from the registration a pre 1963 car. The interior light above the rear window is the give away in the first shot and there is quite a long sequence of shots involving the car. There is nice gear change action with the column change too.

Seen today at the Kop Hill Climb.
2 x Lambda open body, Mike Guest and Colin Wise.
An Aurelia B10, forgot who the owner is.
My Fulvia 2c Berlina (Fay). I also saw an integrale in Princes a Risborough, but not sure if he was at the event.
I'm surprised how few Lancia Members attend the weekend, it's with in easy reach of North London and good access from the M25.
If you apply and are accepted then on the day, whichever is allocated, you get two untimed runs on the hill, a public highway, which is closed for the weekend in aid of charities, but still subject road traffic regulations. At the briefing this is pointed out, and requested that if you have an on board camera, you don't show your speedo!
The cost is a very reasonable £45 that includes 1 passenger, Rally plaque and a run up the hill in the morning and the afternoon.
This year we were asked if we had spare seat or two, to donate them, the donor hands over a donation, puts their hand in a box and pull out a model car, this has a number on the bottom that relates to a specific car, and that's the one you get a run in, no swaps are allowed, I took a lady, her daughter age 11 and her son age 8, along with my two Dachshund, and a great time was had by all with the children in the back waving like crazy to all the onlookers, up the hill and on the way back through Princes Risborough to the paddock.
If you aren't picked, or you don't wish to run the hill, then you book and pay in advance, and park in the Display area.
The Brookland Napier Railton ran the hill, along with Austin seven, many old motorbikes, BMW electric Spyder, a chain gang Fraser Nash, a Steyr Puch 500, and many many more.
So please join us next year.
If we can get enough Lancia's we can have our own spot.
Finally at 6.05pm, a Black Chrysler Delta that had just come off the South Bound M1 at Junction 12,Toddington, that the BBC have after 50 years decided to call Flitwick, which is 2 miles, with another village in Between in the opposite direction to Toddington, that is only half a mile away.
