Looks like RM Auctions have the very first Lancia Stratos for sale at an upcoming auction.

Number Zero....

Gifts gratefully accepted as well as tips on horses, National Lottery numbers, Red/Black etc.

Fiat ought to be saving this for the nation!

Colin,

The Stratos prototype replica was at the Covent Garden '100 years of Lancia in the UK' event in 2007. The replica has since been sold on, but the car now on offer is the genuine article, now being sold by the liquidators of the Bertone museum collection.

Few more taken in Turin,
I know the ones in the bottomnale are not particularily good quality, but a couple of them show up the fantastic lighting especially the rear lights, something you don't normally see; the fella with the startled look on his face is the General in charge of the bottomnale who sort of fell into the stratos! Having said that getting in it is only for the young and fit, look just how low it is.

note,
bottomnale should in fact read A-S-Nale but this politically correct site doesn't allow rude words!

It seems quite extraordinary that this car would come on to the open market.  Really should be in the Lancia collection - or a national collection of some sort IMHO, probably www.museoauto.it / Biscaretti.

In full agreement William.
Although I'm not sure I like the emphasis of it being a general Motor Museum rather than what it used to be, an Italian Automobile Museum, and I'm pretty impressed with some of the displays showing the cars in context, but why does everything have to be done to attract and interest Children, I know they have to make money but I'd rather the cars be displayed for what they are, not for amusement.
I also thought the name had been changed to Museo Agnelli?

The guide price for the Stratos Zero is 1,000,000 to 1,800,000 euro!! Also in the sale of ex-Bertone museum cars is the Sibilo guide price 60,000 to 100,000 euro and three Lamborghini concept cars.
