Stu,

Well done, your efforts were immensely rewarded, what a tremendous weekend for all the family. Hotel was fabulous, staff, food, amenities all first rate. Great selection of cars, fantastic scenery and wonderful people, easy  Grin quiz and enjoyable observation run and even the weather was on side- 10/10  Smiley

I agree with everything already said - well done Stuart, you really did organise an excelent weekend, all your hard work I am sure was appreciated by everyone.  It was the longest trip I have done in the Evo 2 and it was great fun, strangely even the motorways were more enjoyable - wonderful car!

Thank you to everybody who came to the GNW!  I am delighted that everybody enjoyed the weekend.  All of the positive comments about the hotel, the route and the visit to the Lakeland Motor Museum made all of the hard work worthwhile.

Great photos Tony!  I wish that I'd had the time to take a few more.

June & I would like to add our thanks for a really great gathering, Stuart.  Unfortunately I am now suffering with gout, too much red wine I am afraid.

Sarah and I also want to thank Stu for all his efforts for a fab weekend with unusually non-Lakes weather on the important Friday and Saturday. Hotel was excellent and am now trying to shed the half stone I put on in the 3 days....

Glad to see the Hardnott Pass photos as we did this for the first time on the Friday. Mind blowing particularly the point where you are just staring up into the sky not knowing what might be staring back at you on the other side of the "bump". Views spectacular and another tick for the Sport doing a 1 in3 hill start or two as Volvo drivers coming down seemed to believe they couldnt stop/had right of way etc.

Great Photos Tony!

Stuart, many thanks for a great weekend from all the family!

Enjoyed reading the 25 Years of GNW once we got home-Susan and I spotted ourselves in a couple of Roddy's photos from Kendal and Biggar.

On next years observation tour fear we may have to cut childrens' legs off to get them in the back of the Gamma-the complaints about lack of room almost caused us to abandon the run at one point which would have been a pity!

Great photos Tony-any chance of sending Gamma frontal shot at Museum to me?

I went out walking in the Lake District today and started talking to somebody who is on holiday in the Ambleside area.  As I was taking some photos at the time he asked if photography was my main hobby. When I responded that classic cars was my biggest interest, he asked me if I am keen on any particular make.  I obviously responded that Lancias are my passion.  To this he went on to tell me that he had seen some quattros on Kirkstone Pass on Saturday.  He seemed a little surprised when I told him that it was an event that I had organised!  It made me realised just what a small world it can be!  Grin

Lovely to see Tony's superb photos, a delightful record of a most enjoyable weekend, my first LMC event and I'm very much looking forward to the next.  As a new club member attending the event alone I was somewhat apprehensive that I'd find myself out on a limb, how foolish!  Thank you all for making me feel most welcome, particularly to Chairman Andy for his navigation skills during the observation run (we may not quite have kept to the straight and narrow but I couldn't wish for more genial company).  Most of all many thanks to Stuart for his peerless organization, it must have taken a considerable amount of time to prepare for and manage the event and the thought and care taken to accomodate all our various needs and requirements was almost as impressive as Stuart's ability to arrange good weather (as a fellow Cumbrian, I must find out how that's done).
