That car, which sold at last year's RM Auction in Monaco for 102.917 EUR, will now be for sale again at the RM Auction on Amelia Island, on 12th march 2011.
http://www.rmauctions.com/FeatureCars.cfm?SaleCode=AM11&CarID=r192&fc=0
Estimate 125-150.000 USD. No reserve.
I wonder:
How many kms was the car driven in those 10 months?
Who is going to profit from that sale?
How many B53 are regularly driven?

I don't think it actually 'sold', I think that really RM sold it back to themselves!!

Yes, I am sure many strange things happen at auction. And buying back a lot to somehow define its value for a future sale is sadly rather easy to do.
With this system a "No Reserve" translates to a "No Risk" policy!

I thought we'd seen that car before when I looked through the new catalogue. RM do a good job of maximising  prices, but their photo's sometimes make the cars look quite unreal. The interior of the Allemano looks wonderful, but I think it might get a little tiring if I were to drive it a lot - I think my B20's more severe dash is easier to live with!

It is listed in their results as 'Sold confidential'

Look out for it again at RM's next auction!

My favorite feature is the fitted tool kit - plenty of choices for attacking the lobsters but could do with a foil cutter and cork screw.

On the list published on the RM site, it is now mentionned as
"Sold, 99'000 USD" which theoretically means a bid of 90'000.
Let's wait for its next appearance...
