I wonder if the new owner of the ebay Flaminia will be able to bring it up to the standard of this one for the extra £27,000 it costs (OK it does need some money spent on brakes and chrome)   I think not!

Hi All

Maybe I am missing something (please enlighten me), but when you can buy a what looks like a really nice Flavia Coupe for £11K asking price, see

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C142461/

and as illustrated above a Flaminia for not an inconsiderable amount more, why would you spend £5k-£6k on this?

Am I really missing the point?

Thanks

Well...

In a nutshell there's a glamour to that model and there's a romance to a project.  If you don't see it feel blessed.  I've always been grateful that I don't have the "win at all costs" gene.

A similar car in similar condition as that Flavia is listed at EUR 60K so someone could fool themselves it stacks up financially, but its always going to be more complicated than that.

I guess I will remain blessed for the present!

I assume you meant Flaminia, not Flavia @ 60K? But as mentioned above there is one for 30K Euros asking price all ready to go.
