There is a B20 for sale at the Paris Retromobile auction on the 4th Feb 2011.
Chassis number B20s 1120. Guide price 85,000 euro.  http://www.artcurial.com/en/asp/fullCatalogue.asp?salelot=1957+++++218+&refno=10333039

Looks nice but a shame about the incorrect colour of the interior and the modern steering wheel.
Several other Lancias in the same sale.

Steering wheel looks totally out of place as you so rightly say.
Appia Zagato looks nice though, but I don't like the the two tone wheel treatment.

I can only marvel at the price estimates, and the descriptions, also for the other cars in the sale.
I was already sceptical last year, we shall see...

Regarding the B20S, it is a shame that under the hood they used the outside body color, and not the normal black. When you do restore a car, why not spend the time and do it right?

Sebastien, I had noticed the wrong colour in the engine bay too and I totally agree with your comment about spending time to do it right.
This one also made me cringe, they are asking £120,000 for a 6th series and just look at how much of the detailing is wrong!

And it needs the correct chrome plated trim to go down the centre of its 6th Series bonnet! Come to think of it, I have just such a piece in my cellar ….

Aurelias for sale tend to fall in 2 categories:

1. overpriced and wrongly restored, or tarted-up cars, with lots of doubtful history, that stay for a long time in the market, or go from auction to auction
2. Nice cars, with provable history, that are at a fair price compared to the market.

This one looks to be a category 2, based on the advertisement, certainly worth enquiring, if you are a serious buyer (lets not discuss here how many buyers are serious):

I wonder how long it will take to sell...

I have seen the ad for the grey car on Anamera it looks just right in the photo, it would be nice to see a picture of the interior though, as it is supposed to be original. Most that look this good aren't around for long, but it is a bit pricey!

Some more details on the grey B20 from my contact in Italy....
"I'm reading your forum, this is the B20 3 series you're talking about: http://www.maximiliankautomobili.com/index3.html
The dealer is the son of Mr.Kappa, Kappa workshop of Milan in the '80s.He is specialized in Porsche and rebuilt Porsche in particular, but the other cars are good. The price is high for me too, but the car as you can see is totally restored."

This one looks good in the photos http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C206027/
and then there's this one, shame about the modern steering wheel and wire wheels, although it does say it has the original steel ones with it. http://www.finecars.cc/en/detail/car/113371/index.html?no_cache=1&ret=63

Or what about this one?

Only it's not a B20 (did you spot that straight away), but its bigger older B50 brother.  Bodied by Vignale (don't know who the designer would have been through - perhaps Michelotti, who designed an Aprilia convertible for Vignale in 1949) and bought new by Bracco in Sept 1950.

An influence on the B20 shape?  You decide.

Owned by the Vignale family from 70s for 30 years.  Unrestored paint and interior.  45k km.  Needs some exhaust and brake work.  Yours for 110k Euros.  Looks like a snip to me!  Seller is Paul Koot, father of the Integrale-based Hyena, and thus a bit of a hero to Lancisti.

I had seen the ad for the B50 Vignale, it is in this months Octane, but I have not seen it advertised elsewhere. Where did your info come from William?

Mr Koot is my informant.  aureliagt@gmail.com will reach him.

I'm so excited by the car that I find myself doing his marketing for him (not planning to snap it up myself as I've forgotten where I left that spare 110k E lying about).  Would love to see the car if it comes to the UK.

Dig the double door pockets and handles!

Thanks for the extra photos, it looks fantastically original and the price isn't out of the way for a unique car like this, now where did I leave that bag with £100K in it!!!!

I love the finish on the steering wheel rim.

What's with TWO window winders?
