Classic Car, Classic Car Weekly and Practical Classics are running a competition to select 'The Classic Car of the Year' at this year's NEC show.

Modestine has been selected as one of the ten cars in the pre-war class and she needs your votes please to win the category and be at the NEC in November.

Here is the link:     http://www.ccoty.co.uk/classic_car_voting.php?cat=0#cce-203591697
First click on 'Vote Now' and then on one of the cars pictured in the Pre-war Category.

Many thanks
Robin.

Just a point you might not recognise "Modestine " as she hasn't any clothes on : These Italian Ladies can be quite shocking! so you she's on the left.

Thanks for pointing that out Brian. When asked to submit photographs I showed the progression of the rebuild from start to finish. They use the first picture as the main one when the last would be better.

I've changed the link to go straight to the voting page which displays all three pictures.

If you want to give Modestine the best chance of winning, vote for her only! Good luck Robin.

Done.

The treat for me was that early X19.

You've got my vote Robin and we'll see if Lancaster's quote can beat FJ when the time comes.

Some nice cars but there is some ropey stuff in the 1980's section. Pity no-one entered a nice late Beta or early Delta.

Obviously voted in the Lancia camp but the Tatra and the NSU would have been contendersfor me  Wink

Must admit I'm a fan of Tatra's, and having seen that particular car a couple or so years ago at "Classics on the Common" just after it had just been restored, I must admit it will probably give "Modestine" a run for her money, but having seen Modestine before she put her clothes on, and seen the work Robin has put in to make her the fashionable Italian Lady that she is now, she's top of my list.

Only 'til Friday to go and its not looking good for Modestine!

We're going to have to pull all the stops out if we're going to get a Lancia to the final at the NEC.

Here's the voting link again  http://www.ccoty.co.uk/classic_car_voting.php?cat=0#cce-203851320

Maybe circulate it to your email address book? Cheesy
