Yes horray, The little bugger oh! I mean the little Ypsilon passed the dreaded N.C.T
I had a very enthuastic tester, the lights were showing a little bit of beam in the wrong direction with the beam benders but he was'nt to concerned. He was taken with the general overall good condition of the car. Now this raises the question, did he pass the car because he liked it or because in was road worthy in every way. I know it's a very stiff test but it has to last for two years, this is an EU directive so I woulden't be suprised if this system came to the UK. The 1980 cut off date is a bit of a bummer as the Have trouble taking readings for emissions even off my Thema and Grale and they are twenty years old.
also they cant test the brakes on the Grale because it's four wheel drive.
Congratulations Dave.
I'm a bit surprised they allow you to get away with LHD headlamps by using beam benders.
Construction and Use Regulations in the UK specifically say it's a NO NO, although a lot depends on having a sympathetic MOT tester.
