I have the tool to undo the big nut, but not the puller.

I would be happy to lend it. I am in north London, but might be cycling into the City tomorrow and if neded I could bring it with me.

Questions

1) Is it front or rear?  They are very different sizes.

2) Is it 3 or 6 slot?  I know that Series 2 should have 3 slot nuts but mine has 6 slot ones.

Andy is coming to collect it tonight. Sadly it's for a car he has just sold!

Thanks Colin,
Re the car, not too sad as a friend of mine has bought it!

I have just seen Andy’s account of doing the job, on the Lancisti forum, complete with great photographs. Good to see my tool being used to good effect!

Yes, and it’s a handsome tool too!

If this link works – you can see it in action here:

Colin,
Many thanks for loaning Andy the tool, with a bit of luck the new owner and myself will collect it next week.
That abrasive on the new pads looks pretty aggresive!
