Amici della Lambda: FOBELLO 2011

The 1st September 2011 is the 90th anniversary of Vincenzo Lancia’s first drive of the Lambda up the Mont Cenis pass and Lancia Lambdas will come together from around the world to visit Varallo and Fobello. Because of the limited accommodation in Varallo, it is strictly for Lambda owners only.

We gather at Lanslebourg before the drive over the Mt Cenis pass en route to lunch at La Giaconera. We then move on to Varallo for events including a day in Fobello to visit to the new "VINCENZO LANCIA" Museum.

We are developing a post Fobello itinerary down to Tuscany to link up with the Mille Miglia route. This may take us down to Radicofani, a Mille Miglia special stage, before heading North over the Raticosa and Futa passes en route for Brescia which is convenient for taking the Stelvio pass over the Alps.  From London this would be a “Due Mille Miglia” round trip.

Preliminary details have been sent to some Lambda owners. Could any Lambda owners who have not yet received them please contact me so that they are on the mailing list, while they make sure their Lambdas are running well.

I am over in Italy for 10 days in September,  and after reading the editorial in VL today am planning a visit to both Varallo and Fobello, which are about an hour and a half drive away.

Can anyone give me further information on the museum and what to see when at both locations?

Thanks.
