Neat machine! Does it do that James Bond thing with red snow if someone on skis is chasing you ?

Y10 Fire on 135s didn't bat an eyelid at the snow. Got me to work every day through 3 to 4 inches and did a return trip from Bedfordshire to west Wales perfectly happily.

When average temps below 10 deg C, there is no doubt winter/mud/snow tyres work very well and can even improve MPG as the latest compounds work better in the low temps.

I always fit Continental 145/80R14s to my A2 1.2 TDI December thro' March and she sails up 11% hills covered in snow on way to work. Only trouble is other cars not so equipped coming the other way! A few weeks back, had a Saab estate get half way up the same hill ahead of me and suddenly he went through 90 degrees. Thankfully enough distance between us and space to pass on verge. Even a farmer's Toyota HiLUx had trouble that day.
