I'm hoping to put back on the road an 8,000 mile 1986 Prisma 1.6LX which I acquired recently and which hasn't seen service since 1988.  The main problem is a seized engine and I will either need a reconditioned short engine or will need to replace No.4 piston and liner which have corroded.  Currently considering the options here with the workshop in Glasgow who are looking at it for me.
The lower part of the cylinder head is also affected by corrosion to the valve guides and seats, so I'm looking for a good used or reconditioned head as a cost-effective replacement.
I'd welcome any offers, suggestions or advice.

Did you find a head? I have a 1600 IE head if that is any good. You can get in touch on f.tierney@btinternet.com if you are still looking.

Thanks, I have a replacement head now which is ready for fitting.  A new liner has been fitted to the block and the engine currently awaits reassembly.

Jolly good. There aren't enough Prismas about. Such a nice car.
