Gearbox came as a 'spare' when I purchased a S3 Coupe with a 5 speed box.
I cannot see any plate, or similar, with markings to identify it.
Gearknob is an aftermarket one. I am assuming it is a 5 speed box for a 1300.

Thanks Tom!

I am the lucky bloke who couldn’t look a gift-gearbox in the mouth and I am pleased to say I collected it today. It looks to me to be a standard S2/S3 five speed box – complete with the remote linkage with the lug that holds the reversing switch still intact. On several of the boxes that I have seen this lug seems to have been broken off.

My interest in having the box is because I need some parts to rebuild a box for my hybrid Sport, which uses the final drive from a 2000HF. But I don’t expect to get around to doing this for at least another year. So, if in the meantime anyone has a desperate need for a S2 1.3 gearbox, then please make contact. I am sure I can find the bits I need elsewhere if needs be.

Thanks again Tom,

Colin
