I have been contacted to see if any member would like to buy a crankshaft (thought to be unused) which was kept when disposing of the enquirer's father's 1938 Aprilia.

He would sell this at a nominal sum if anyone was interested but it would have to be collected frrom Ellesmere in Shropshire.

If anyone is interested, please contact me and I will pass on your contact details.

Shame it wasn't for an Augusta, as I broke mine last weekend. Almost certainly because I ran the car when it wasn't on all cylinders all of the time, due to the condenser occasionally making a less than good earth. It took a while to diagnose and cure the fault, and I should have stopped sooner. I'm ashamed to admit that I did the same thing to an Appia about 30 years ago. Some people never learn!
