Sky Atlantic series "The Miracle".

Set in modern Rome it is a political and supernatural thriller, with a Weeping Madonna and of course the Mafia. It was the Prime Minister's cavalcade in Episode 5, of 3 Lancia Chrysler Thema 300's (or however they marketed it) that on rewind, caught my eye. Last episode bought in the Mafia and something far more recognisable, an HF Integrale.  Still available on catchup but be warned there's a lot of blood (from the weeping Madonna) .

Sky Documentary "Stirling"

A excellent documentary that I watched in the New Year not expecting to see any Lancia's. The 1948 Goodwood meet, 9 mins in, shows a racing Lambda manoeuvring in the background, No 51, I believe. Also, 1955 Le Mans, 34 mins in, shot shows the Jaguar D types, 7, 8 and 9 coming towards the camera, maybe in Parc Ferme, with an Aurelia following them. Maybe Mike Hawthorn driving the Aurelia as he had one then? He drove the winning Jag No 6.

Available on catch up but it also going out this Sat 9pm.

I recently watched "Tea with Mussolini" which briefly features an Augusta and also a larger saloon I could not identify. The Augusta was used in place of the larger posher car as the passengers needed be less noticeable.

If you really want to get obscure try the Italian war film Girabub made in north Africa in 1942. It features 1ZM armoured cars (from 12:05) and 3Ro trucks (from 15:09).

So, its a bit late (by 3 years) and its not been on here before, so theres no harm in a bit of Christmas "fun" with two Lancias (and an Iveco truck!)....

Caught the tail of a Flaminia Coupe in the Serpent currently showing on BBC1, as well as catching out the series makers as they showed a Fiat 32 being used by the police in Thailand, then the same car in India 😂

Just catching up on The Young Montalbano how’s on BBC4, the mafioso just turned up in a red integrale Evo 2, with an Autobianchi A112 in the background. Already had the coroner driving a Lybra - so more Lancia already than the original Inspector Montalbano where he drives a Fiat Tipo with Regattas used a police cars

Features prominently, and the film is a real tear jerker, I love it.

Just watched the original Godfather film. At one point where the younger Corleone is exiled to Sicily there is a splendid Alfa 6C and in the background the rear end of an Augusta.

Whilst watching Channel 4 documentary ' Grace Kelly-Lost Tapes of a Princess' about 25 minutes in there is a a long moving shot of Prince Rainier driving an Appia coupe into, I presume, the Palace. The Reg is 2477. The documentary is repeated on Tuesday 15/6 at 8pm on Channel 4seven.

It was my wife who alerted me. She is the art lover in our household. She had been watching a recording from last July of BBC 4's 'Art Lovers Guide to Beirut' and something would interest me. Bernard Khoury is a Lebanese architect who arrives at work via a lift and drives to his desk in an electric Renault Twizy. He apparently likes cars and has them parked around his desk. I have to thank the film crew who gave the Lancia a full screen shot. Enjoy.

This time it is a bullet ridden Thesis. Settled down to watch 'No time to Die' on TV expecting the usual selection of Aston Martin's. When Vespa's and Maserati's started appearing I started watching intently and sure enough an ageing Thesis (It's 20 years old and doesn't look its age) appeared in the chase, only to be shot to pieces. I don't want to spoil the film for you but below is a clip.
