In the new series "Panam" about trolly dolly's which my wife Denise recorded there was a very nice Flaminia Superleggera in silver in one of the scenes. The series is set in the 1960's so it should  produce some interesting cars. Thanks . David. Smiley

I don't think it's been mentioned before but one of the best sequences of a Lancia in film is in Il Sorpasso, a Dino Risi film from 1962 in which a B24 Convertible has a large part.  It can be got from Amazon for about £10, or the opening credits and splendid last sequence can be found on YouTube at http://youtu.be/q0rePVClZHc and http://youtu.be/xhu_uM9mk_o
The car that disappears over the cliff is apparently an Alfa, heavily disguised. The B24 has recently been restored, see http://video.repubblica.it/edizione/bologna/l-auto-del-sorpasso-restaurata-a-lizzano/82857/81247

On sunday I was watching Great Escapes of the War on 'Yesterday', the programme was about the Long Range Desert Group who upset the Italians in Libya by knocking seven bells out of their Areodromes and other facilities, eventually this leads to a chase of the LRDG by the Italian Army some in Lancia Lorries RO's? that seemed to have the Lancia Badge on the Radiator, which wasn't always the case according to "Camion Lancia".
As everything is always repeated on yesterday it would be worth looking out for even if they only for about a minute.

Not a car but a book written by a Lancia owner. Does that count I wonder? Huh?

Young James Herriot BBC 1 this evening. Herriot is given a book to give him an insight into the 1st World War - All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Remarque. With revenue generated by sales of this best seller Remarque fulfilled a long held desire to own a Dilambda. Obviously a man of impeccable taste! Roll Eyes

Channel 4 on 10th Dec showed Woody Allen's 2008 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' starring Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson with Javier Bardem as the seductive painter. Set in contemporary Barcelona the usual Citroen taxis abound but a cameo appearance of a Lancia Musa caught me by surprise, it must have been on the screen for no more than 3 seconds. Now, that did wake me up!
Just to confirm here is the scene.

I have never seen one in the UK but there is one for sale on ebay.

The Original Sweeney episode did feature a White Flavia 2000 Sedan used by the criminals along with an XJ6 to turn over an armoured Transit, however Regan, Carter et all were wise to it. "You're nicked!"

New Delta appears very briefly, but you can't miss it, in "The American" (starring George Clooney).
The film is set mostly in Italy and the car he drives around in is unfortunately not a Lancia but a Fiat Tempra.

In the closing scenes of Michael Kane's 1987 film " The whistle blower " Michael kane walks a white Lancia Delta parked at the side of the road, (it looks like a standard 1300)   before he knocks at the door of the villan of the movie. I rember watching this film back in the 80's but never noticed the white delta . Thanks, Smiley David .
