I don't see my Appia Coupe' mentioned even though it was featured in the film "Skin" shot on lacation in the Magaliesberg in South Africa about 2 years ago.

The film stars Alice Krige and Sam Neil, directed by Anthony Fabian - see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0964586/

Has anyone seen the film?  I'd love to get a copy, but it wasn't released in South Africa.  Huh?

One not listed on the website mentioned above... Just been sat watching FRANTIC, a thriller with Harrison Ford.  A Fulvia is parked up outside the hotel as Harrison Ford pops across to the florist and bar.. seen in three shots.  Get's prime screen time Smiley  Roman Polanski must've liked the Lancia Smiley

Lima,

Thanks for reviving this thread, which I seem not to have noticed when it started back in April. I must look out for 'Frantic'.

One to add: the last Monsieur Hulot film from Jacques Tati was ‘Trafic’ from 1971 – one sequence includes a massive traffic jam with a shot lingering on a Fulvia Sport.

Colin, thanks for the nudge: i can't add to the Lancia memories, but Jacques Tati's "Mon Oncle" and "Jour de Fete" ( the postman trying to get on his bike Smiley )rank up there with the Marx brothers for me. Absolute genius.

If we want to keep this data in some way, the geocities site is closing on 26 October 2009 (next week!), so if someone has the technical know how to get this, now would be a good time!

Details here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/geocities/close/close-05.html

I've saved it.

If anyone else wants to for "private study" or whatever the copyright position might be in Internet Explorer I have a "Page" menu towards the top right and I went "Save As" with the option "Webpage Complete".   This created a 2MB directory of all the stuff.   In the directory you made go to the "index_files" subdirectory, within that go to the "index_files" subdirectory, and then right-mouse-button-click on "films.htm" and "Open With" then "Word pad".   Highlight from the start of the line that starts <SCRIPT>  all the way down the dozen or so lines to </SCRIPT> and hit delete, then save.   Quit the editor, double click on "films.htm" and you have it.

Hi all

Just a reminder that there's a link to the Internet Car Movie Database list of Lancias on the Giro "Links" page:

Shown on BBC4 in the art house season of films was Romanzo Criminale, which started off with the main characters joy riding in a Flaminia and following through with various models upto and early Delta as the film was depicted Italy from the late 50's through to the early 80's.

Why I watched the film as it had subtitles, I don't know but probalbly trying to spot the many Lanica's through the ages.

Brian,

Did a Google search and found a couple of trailers for the film, with a couple of Lancia being shown. The search via IMDB does not give too much detail.

Have you tried Iplayer, or watch out for a rerun, should not be too long away on BBC4!

Regards
