Not sure about the loading things on the front end, but the amount of stuff on the roof of the car reminds me of many camping holidays with my parents.  It always amazed me just how much a Fiat 127 could carry  Grin

Just after the war, the French actually made things like that to fit on the front of Renault 4CVs and the like, but I now see where they got the idea!  With the Augusta's track rod somewhere down there, I wonder if the steering lock became somewhat limited?  Like the tyres too!
