Have MoT tomorrow and was about to tighten up the Dunlop Handbrake mechanism when I noticed O/S wheel inside pad was completely missing except for the backing plate!

The other 3 pads have 15mm of thickness remaining.

Is this a specialist item or can a motor factors supply these pads? Are they the same as Jaguar parts?

Thanks

Hi. I don't think that a motor factors will have pads in stock, i may be wrong, but i too thought that they are the same as Jaguar mk2 rear pads. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but hopefully answers your question, suggestion, re-book mot ,and contact Omicron, who will probably have in stock, and i have found delivery service is rapid. Good luck

I usually buy mine from Omicron as well, keep your fingers crossed that the mechanism is free and not corroded or rusty Shocked

I think the brake pads maybe the same as Jaguar, but I'm not sure about the handbrake pads.

8227 Cool.

Just dug out my CD on Dunlop Brakes, many Jaguars from 1958 on used the same Handbrake pads as Series 1 Fulvia Coupe & Berlina, as did other Lancia, the Dunlop part number was 64932129LQ, be careful as this wasn't the only one used on Jaguar.

 Huh?

Pads ordered through a local supplier arrived 4pm yesterday.

Alas although they looked identical shape they were approx 5 mm too small in size all around.

So E Type / Mk2 Jag ones don't fit.

Will try elsewhere.....
