With things as they are, I am now looking at the options for importing one myself.  I have spoken to my local Fiat/Alfa dealer to look at the possibility of getting one for me unofficially (probably LHD).  I should have an answer in the next few days, so watch this space!

If there are RHD cars being driven around, presumably you could buy one from a continental dealer, say in Benelux?

I'm assuming that whatever RHD cars there are, they are presently just prototypes, and that full scale RHD production is effectively postponed.  If RHD Euro spec cars are available at some point, before they come to the UK then that would be very good, but I imagine that the UK will be one of the first RHD markets Lancia would come to, and that in any case cars made for Japan, South Africa etc would have fundamentally different specs which might not be OK for the UK.

Any Lancia enthusiast with a weak heart better not read the AutoItalia verdict re- the new Delta. Should get the letters rolling in.

Seeing fensaddler’s earlier post about RHD and LHD versions reminds me of a visit to the late Tony Amato’s Deptford workshop in the 1970s - unusually, he was working on an almost new Rover (type SD1 I think) that was LHD and I asked its origins. Tony said a friend had bought it very cheaply because it was one of a whole shipload of similar cars that Rover (or probably BL as it was) had returned from Japan, having shipped them there to test the waters in this new export market. Someone had assumed wrongly that they drove on the right in Japan!
