Paint code

Hello I am looking for guidance as to the colour of my 1975 Fulvia Coupe S3, at the moment the car is not road worthy so I suppose I could take the boot lid off and take that to the shop, however I have seen a couple of possibility's on line   ie Grigio Escoli Metalizato 135 or 235? both are silver metallic of mid seventy's cars and I am wondering if these two silver colours are about it for that period as the pictures I have seen look very similar to my one ( silver that is ) I cant find any stickers with code numbers inside the door jamb or boot, Thanks

More correctly Fulvia 3 (not S3) had Grigio Escoli metallic paint  code IVI 316.603. There is no Lecler Lancia paint code, nor are there and other metallic grey or silver for Fulvia 3. I you have a good example of original paint on your car the best is to get it scanned. I.V.I. disappeared long time ago as did all formulas of period  paint.

Thanks to everyone for your sugestions and help, I am prety sure more or less every pannel has been painted over the years so i will probably have to go for a best guess, I didnt know ther could be a sticker in the glove box, I will investigate further.

Colour matching can be difficult if you really want it to be very accurate to the original.

So far as I know my S3 is Bronzo Windsor, but when I bought a touch up set from Germany with the name “Lancia 134 Bronzo Windsor” it was way out.

A method that’s often used is to of take off the petrol filler flap and take that to a car paint supplier with a scanner - assuming you like the colour of the flap!

After all this time the colour will have faded from the original, paint factors who normally make up paint usually have one.
