Waterless Coolant
« on: 02 January, 2024, 12:43:43 PM »
Happy New Year everyone.
A friend of mine came across Evans Waterless Coolant - https://evanscoolants.co.uk to replace traditional antifreeze solutions and wondered if anybody had had any experience of this substance which is claimed to last for up to 20years.  Being waterless it does not invite corrosion. There is a flushing solution to be used first to get rid of the gunk and water in the system and then you simply fill the system with this "miracle solution".
Any thoughts most welcome thank you

Whats wrong with the recommended 50% Blue glycol? I doubt you would flush out 50 years of sediment and could run into other problems. I hear it has a higher boiling point which is a plus in some ways but may end up masking an overheating issue with the engine. I personally dont use it even on clean new build engines.
Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?
