Peter,

I have thought of doing that, but I reckon itís a two person job with someone to support the bonnet, while someone else knocks out the pins. But, I tend to work alone so thatís not a real option. Another idea is to suspend the bonnet from the garage roof prior to removing the pins, but I have never got round to that. I just live with a bad back!

I simply secure the bonnet in the fully open position with an elastic strap from the bonnet catch to the wheel arch.
