The Rodney Pilkington Aprilia is advertised by Bonhams on the Car and Classic website as offered in their Beaulieu sale on 1st September 2023, but there is no result shown on the Bonhams site.

It was Rodney Wilkinson's car. Rodney was a good friend of John Maltby and that car appears in some of Maltby's films from the late 1960s.

I saw this car on Saturday, some strange features but sadly wasn’t as nice in the flesh as the photos

Rodney had a major accident in the car in the early 70s and supervised the repairs himself. I am sure it will have been repaired conscientiously, but nevertheless a good look underneath would not go amiss. They are prone to cracking about the front axle mountings, and a collision will not have improved things.
