2 x Flaminia GTL 2.8 3C; Flaminia GT 2.5 3C

« on: 25 April, 2022, 04:37:46 PM »

Hi all,
My newly purchased Flaminia is being delivered tomorrow! The first job is to get it fully serviced. The second job is a bare metal respray, the existing paint is beyond any redemption and judging by the colour coded rubbers ( ugh!) is not original!. The third job is some trim work.
I'm sure removing the windows will cause my paint shop palpitations but it needs to be done, new rubbers throughout etc.
I could do with a Workshop Manual and a Parts List. All help appreciated by a new member. This is my second Lancia, I had a Flavia 2000 Coupe back in the 1970's.
I am based in Warwickshire. 07717 804085

What a great car, be nice to see some before pictures.

https://viva-lancia.com is the one stop shop for Lancia part books and manuals, Flaminia can be found here https://viva-lancia.com/specials/cd/flaminia-cd.php

There are quite a few places to buy parts, first stop is Cavalitto https://viva-lancia.com/specials/cd/flaminia-cd.php also https://www.classiclancia.com/home-2.html plus https://www.rafanno.at/?fbclid=IwAR3Lc9HimUt1VXo3e8N-wLH_2xOGv4fSvIKE_7xIbG8t3Jw9hkoVQYn0_HQ has some hard to find trim pieces.

Hi Julian,
Really helpful thank you!
Im onto those links right now.
Ill take some photos on arrival, nervous about getting it up on the ramps. The 1964 DB5 I bought in 1974 for £1500(!) was already rotten and needed new inner sill panels etc.
All the best

Congratulations Peter!
I got multiple manuals from the club library with the help of Chris Hopkins the librarian.
This forum topic explains how: http://www.lancia.myzen.co.uk/forum/?topic=3333.0
And this page has links to some suppliers I had not heard of before https://vintagepartsource.com/lancia.htm

I liked my car so much Ive just bought another GTL 3C. It is in 'Like New' condition and came second in the Top Ten Best of Show at The Goodwood Festival in 2017, award presented by Stirling Moss. It is an absolute Stunner!
My original car actually drives and stops a lot better so we have a bit of work to do on the new arrival.
The original car needs paint and carpets..OR..nothing! I would sell it to a good home. These cars are amazing!

Sounds a lovely car to have, looking forward to seeing it sometime.
What is the value of your car which needs paint and carpets or nothing?
