Engine number decyphering

I'm struggling to read my engine number, can anyone please confirm from the attached pictures?

That looks like
818.302 2286649
to me.
Verbatim from Wikipedia:
The new 1298 cc engine was produced in two versions; the type 818.302 produced 87 bhp (65 kW) at 6000 rpm and was fitted to first series Coupés, Sports and Berlina GTE and later to the second Series Berlina.

That is casting number in the front of the head, the engine number is by the starter motor stamped in the aluminium flywheel housing.

Yes thats right Neil.....and its the only place where the engine number is stamped I think I am correct in saying.
All the other numbers in the photos are casting numbers.
