I'm helping a friend with the electrics on his RHD S3 Coupe.  We've got only a low resolution S3 Coupe wiring diagram.  Does anybody have high resolution Coupe and Sport S3 diagrams in digital form that they could send to me?   We have very good  S2 diagrams but really need the S3 versions.

We need the Sport version as well as the Coupe because my friend's Coupe has a 5-pin main beam solenoid/relay rather than the normal 4-pin one.  The Sport came with 5-pin so its solenoid wiring may well be closer to that of my friend's car.

I would greatly appreciate help with this.

Thanks Tim.  I've also been sent an English language copy of the 2nd edition S3 owner's handbook, which includes three wiring diagrams: LHD, LHD with hazards, RHD with hazards, but no Sport.

The RHD with hazards in the handbook is different to the one you sent in that it shows a 5-pin Main Beam solenoid/relay (37) whereas the diagram you sent shows 4-pin.   It would appear that in-series design changes were made resulting in at least two different configurations.  If anybody out there has an S3 owner's handbook other than 2nd edition it would be good to know if the included 'RHD with hazard' wiring diagram shows a 4 or 5 pin Main Beam solenoid/relay.

Interestingly, my own RHD S2 has a 5-pin Main Beam solenoid whereas all of the S2 wiring diagrams that I've ever seen (other than Sport) show 4-pin.   In this case the difference may be the result of a design pull ahead from S3.

OK so I have dragged my original 4th edition UK handbook off my shelf and scanned the sport with hazards wiring schedule. This has a 5 pin #37. Poor copy as manual well worn...

Thanks Tim.  Is that 4th edition S2?

We've wired my friend's car in line with the Coupe "RHD with hazards" diagram from the 2nd Edition Series 3 handbook.  Interestingly that matches my Series 2 wiring exactly, with one exception: there is an extra red from pin 3 on the Main Beam solenoid (37 on the S3) to the hazard switch.  That seems to make sense.

yes. I did not realise Fulvia 3 had its own edition of handbook.

I only got the S3 owner's handbook yesterday.  Its RHD wiring diagram is the first RHD diagram I've seen for any Fulvia.
