Gearbox breather

Is there a breather on the gearbox at all? I wondered if the dipstick/filler cap worked on that basis but having looked closely can see that the hole is below the O-ring so doesn't vent outside. Mine is leaking slightly (not from the driveshaft seals) so I wondered if a breather is blocked but can't see one anywhere.

There should be a c1mm hole just below the top.

Thanks, I suspected there should be so I'll investigate and try to find it. Must be completely blocked on mine
