Unless the internal worm gear is broken, the steering box can be refurbished (new bearings, new oil seals). Rather difficult to remove the drop arm and the main nut as a special puller is best used for the job. Try to contact Omicron, Andrea

I have stripped and rebuilt the old one it’s just a couple of bits were lost along the way (don’t ask!)

What bits? I had a metallurgical failure of the worm of my S2 sport (RHD) box. I may have some spares or a completely renovated box as I built 2 out of 3 units.

I will have a look tomorrow but think they may be in the other box I rebuilt (now spare for sale).
