I always use Dot 4 in our old cars and never have anything else on my shelves. I avoid silicon fluid only because i dont want to run into possible trouble with mixing fluid and consequent seal problems.Chris

I.e they have never seen glycol based Dot 4 etc.
Brian, modern DOT4 is synthetic these days it is not the fully synthetic or silicon type fluid you can't mix, it should not be a be a problem.
